The Pride Center of the Capital Region is in need of more books and DVDs to help expand our Center Youth Resource Center! Recently the Center Youth program has relocated to a new space in our building at 332 Hudson, and we’re on our way to making the space more welcoming and comfortable for the youth in our program. The LGBTQ Youth Library and Resource Center will be an important addition to our Center Youth program for LGBTQ youth ages 13-24 seeking support, education and resources.
By expanding our existing LGBTQ Youth Library, we will provide relevant books and other resources that reflect positive LGBTQ stories and experiences, that will help our LGBTQ youth feel safe as they come out and explore their identity. We need your help to make this happen! Please donate new or gently used LGBTQ youth themed/ appropriate books and DVDs to the Pride Center or make a small donation to the LGBTQ Youth library fund. If you would like book suggestions, call Youth Program Assistant James at (518) 462-6138 or email Jshultis@capitalpridecenter.org.
Your contribution will make a tremendous difference in the lives of the LGBTQ youth we serve!
You can drop off donations to the Pride Center during business hours or send them to us at:
