Capital Pride 2011 – Events In-Depth #2

The countdown is on! Less than a week away from the start of Capital Pride 2011. With over 35 events around the Capital Region, there’s a lot to keep track of, so through the next week, each day we’ll feature an in-depth look at some of the exciting events coming up for Capital Pride.



GayAlbanyOnline Pride Tea Dance – Taste, 30 South Pearl Street, Albany
Saturday, June 4,  4pm-8pm – $15 (21+)

Join on the roofdeck of Taste restaurant for our Second Annual Pride Tea Dance. Great music, great food, great friends and amazing views of the Capital Plaza and the Hudson River. Pride Mini-Golf – Fun Plex, Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush
Sunday, June 5th 11am – 3pm – $15

A yearly favorite, this year, Pride Mini Golf moves to the FunPlex in east Greenbush. Your admission fee gets you a round of mini-golf, tickets to two other attractions (Go Carts! Batting Cages! More!) and a free Lickity Splits Ice Cream Cone. A perfect way to spend a summer day! Check out the Facebook event HERE.


Vintage Pride Lunch – Unitarian Universalist Congregation’s Channing Hall – 405 Washington Avenue, Albany
Sunday, May 5,  1pm – 3pm FREE

Join the Pride Center of the Capital Region Vintage Pride program for LGBT adults 55 and older, in collaboration with Pierro Law Firm for a free lunch and special presentation on a landmark lawsuit affecting LGBT older adults. Please RSVP to Dana LePage at or call 518-462-6138.
