Training and Education Contractor

Description: Demand for the Pride Center’s Training & Education Services is steadily growing. We are searching for high quality and experienced Training and Education Contractor(s) to support the work of the Training and Education Manager in delivering occasional trainings and presentations. Clients are located throughout our 10-county service area and may include healthcare and mental health providers, college groups, K-12 schools, businesses, faith groups, etc. Contractors will be matched to training topics and audiences based on their specific skills and areas of expertise.

Training and Education Contractors must have experience in training/education and be skilled public speakers. Ideal candidates are savvy and engaging facilitators, can think on their feet, and respond well to different audience skillsets, readiness for change, and knowledge base. An intersectional understanding of LGBTQ experiences with other issues like poverty, racism, ability, misogyny, etc. is necessary.

Contractors will be representing the Pride Center’s Training & Education Services and will be thoroughly trained in how to do so effectively. Most training content will be provided; however, we seek Contractors who are skilled at bringing their own stories and personal flare to the work. Experience with Prezi is a plus. Stipend and mileage reimbursement provided.

– Deep understanding of LGBTQ identities and experiences
– At least 2 years of experience with education / public speaking
– Reliable transportation and/or access to public transportation

Volunteer Task: LGBTQ Speakers

Description: Our Training & Education Services program is seeking a diverse group of LGBTQ Speakers to support the Training and Education Manager by sharing their perspectives and personal experiences in the LGBTQ community. Speakers will be called on to attend occasional trainings and panels in our 10-county region and must feel comfortable sharing their identities and experiences with providers and/or community members.

– Must feel comfortable answering personal questions
– Must have firsthand experience in the LGBTQ community
– Reliable and Professional
– Training will be provided
